Most people do not get enough exercise… We tell ourselves we’re going to start getting fit every new year, but eventually we just lose motivation, and end up sitting on our asses watching “24” and “American Idol” (shame on you! 24, I can understand but American Idol?!)

No matter where we are in the cleansing process, and no matter what type of cleanse we’re doing, it is important to exercise.

Why? When we exercise, we sweat obviously. Sweating opens our pores and allow our toxins to seep out. So, exercise helps in any stage of detoxification(cleansing). Even when we’re done cleansing, we should always keep doing some sort of aerobic exercise to eliminate our toxins.

Our skin is the largest organ in our body, and sweating is the most efficient way in ridding ourselves of these toxins.

Ironically, exercising also causes toxins to be produced! Therefore, it’s critical we drink plenty of liquids with electrolytes(this is important) after exercising.

Diabetes and overweightness are two main problems in the world right now – exercise helps combats both. My favorite type of “exercising” is rebounding, and jumping on the tramboline. This is one of the most useful exercises in the cleansing process because of its beneficial effects on our lympth. When we rebound, we’re getting rid of toxins from every cell in our body.

It’s important you find an exercise you love, whether it’s rebounding, rollerskating, rock climbing, or lifting weights. Otherwise you’re just going to delude yourself if you say you’re going to exercise everyday. Noone can do a boring task every single day for the rest of their lives, no matter how disiciplined they think they are.

My regular exercise routine consists of rebounding while listening to classical music and Yanni on my Ipod Nano. I also enjoy riding my bike in the sun, and jogging occasionally in the park. I prefer exercising outdoors, as it’s generally more relaxing and calm. There’s nothing better than jogging in a nice sunny day, while listening to the birds chirping. Outdoors or indoors, it doesn’t matter, as long as you’re doing something that you enjoy, and that can benefit your lymphatic system.

Here are some good exercises anyone should try: 1. Rebounding. It has a tremendous effect in our lymphatic system, as I said. 2. Walking, or jogging in the park. 3. You don’t have to sign up for a gym membership to get in shape. Try creative outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fishing, Fishing, canoe riding and outdoor golf. 4. Yoga, meditation and stretching. 5. Martial arts is fun and healthy. Try Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Ninjitsu, karate, and Jiu Jitsu 6. Swimming is excellent as well.

You don’t need to go all out when you exercise. Start slow, and work up.

It’s a no brainer: exercise is good for our entire body. Everyone knows this, yet we don’t take the time to exercise for numerous reasons. Of course, it’s time consuming to allocate 1 hour a day exercising when we work 40 hours a week. I suggest perhaps trying “desk workouts”, stretching every 30 minutes in your desk, and maybe catching a walk during your lunch break instead of eating at your desk. We, as human beings love to procastinate. We always say Tomorrow, I’ll do this. Or next year. If any of you have learned Zen, you know the only thing that matters is the present – the now. We all need to stop procastinating and start paying attention to our bodies.

And for those doing colon cleansing, it’s a no-brainer. Exercising helps with the die-off effect and makes the process go much smoother!
