The colon is an organ in the body in the large intestine that can store a varied amount of undigested food and fecal matter. In an effort to make the body healthier and more vital there is a way to help cleanse the body of these unwanted toxins.
Detox is the way. Detox is a regimen of diet and exercise that will cleanse the body of impurities that have been linked to ailments such as low sex drive, depression, colds, constipation and many more.
Cleaning the colon is the first step to a detox. If the colon is not cleansed first, then the toxins that are stored will just recycle back into the body. There are two main ways to clean the colon. One way is by using a rubber hose, inserting it into the rectum and flushing it with water.
The other way is by using herbal supplements. Each ingredient in herbal supplement has a specific purpose. Most are gentle natural laxatives that help remove the build up waste in the colon.
EverCleanse is a type of supplement that claims to clean the colon with natural herbs and fiber.
The program consists of 3 products called EverCleanse Slim!, EverCleanse Slim! Advantage and EverCleanse Slim! Complete. One is meant to help a person lose weight, one claims to help detoxify and replenish and the third is meant to help support and maintain colon health.
There have been many debates on whether EverCleanse actually works. This is a summary of several people’s experience with the EverCleanse product. EverCleanse labs are reportedly inspected by the FDA. EverCleanse had not been approved by the FDA as a method for weight loss or approved as a product that will improve health (many supplements are not).
EverCleanse claimed that with its three point strategy a person will become clean by having the toxins in the body be swept away and the healthy bacteria will be replenished and that the colon would be supported and maintained. Their cleanse also claimed to offer a “complete” cleanse for about 37% less than people which price wise was true however, the content of the product was very small. The ingredients of the product are not complete and its probiotic blend compromises some of the useful bacteria in the body.
One of the ingredients in EverCleanse is a fiber called sun fiber and it supposedly gives people the dietary fiber the body needs. However, EverCleanse does not provide evidence or further information as to why this fiber is different or more special than any other fiber product available. EverCleanse is also part of a program where the order is automatically renewed and there is a charge each month. So pay close attention to what kind of subscription that is ordered.
One major complaint about EverCleanse is the lack of information that is provided concerning the ingredients. It claims that it is 100% natural, but does not release any information on each ingredient used. It hides behind a “patented source of soluble fiber”. It product is full of controversy.
Its website claims that most of us are carrying 6-40 pounds of waste, feces and indigested food inside our bodies. This is virtually impossible! These types of statements make it very difficult to verify some of the products claim.
Many people have reported that EverCleanse does not work for them they report to have more negative side effects then positive results. Many people have claimed extreme dizziness, stomach pains, rapid heartbeat, bloating (severe at times), constipation (severe at times), bloody stools and headaches.
Anyone trying to do a cleansing should always seek professional medical counsel. EverCleanse states that any one under 12 years of age should not use the program and people that take prescription medicines should consult a doctor. When doing any detoxification program there is always a risk of unbalancing electrolytes. This imbalance can lead to extreme health risks or issues including death.
